Your Thought versus The Law of Sowing and Reaping Copyright © Captain Adiari, M.D.
http://www.OnlineGain.net"It is more blessed to give than to receive," says the Lord Jesus. Two thousand years after He made the statement, human economic activities keep confirming the veracity of the assertion. It is actually a corollary of the Law of Seed time and Harvest time. The Philosophers refer to it as the Golden Rule, and metaphysicists call it the Law of Karma. Isaac Newton refers to it as the Third Law of Motion. The Bible also calls it the Law of Sowing and Reaping, "whatsoever a man sows that he shall also reap."
Giving is not only restricted to money. If you want love, you must give love; if you want quality friendship, you must position yourself as a quality friend. If you want a good wife, you must make yourself a good husband, and vice versa.
But it is not just giving. If you desire a good harvest, you must give with the mentality of a farmer. A farmer does not just give his seed to the ground, but he sows it. He tends the ground to keep off weed. And not only just sows his seed, a farmer has an expectation, which is to reap a harvest. Because he is expecting a harvest, he sows quality seed in a good ground.
So are our lives. We are creatures of seed-sowing. We are continuously sowing, consciously or inadvertently, purposefully or carelessly. And we reap what we sow.
Are you sowing quality seed in a good ground? Are you tending the ground of your heart to produce bountiful harvest for you in life?
The Most Important SeedRemember, the most important seed we have is our thought. Your words and actions are all creation of your dominant thoughts. In his classic book, "
Think and Grow Rich," Napoleon Hill states that our lives move in the direction of the dominant thoughts in our mind...What you permit into your heart and nurture will finally grow and yield a harvest for you. If you permit and nurture thought of possibilities of wealth accumulation, that is exactly what you'll see as harvest.
Where will you be in the next 5 years financially? Are you going to give up on your internet business simply because you think it will not yield because of your present experience?
The most beautiful thing in life is the fact that we can control our thought life. You can control what goes into your heart and process into your mind. This is one gift God has bestowed on us as humans, and it is one of the characteristics of free moral agency. By simply changing your thought in an area, you'll automatically change that aspect of your life.
How do you change your thought on a particular issue?
>first, tell yourself you can change. Learn to talk loud to yourself. In philosophy, it is part of what is referred to as "auto-suggestion." In religion, it is referred to as meditation. Meditation can mean: (1) quiet ruminating over an idea in your mind, (2) silent muttering of words under your breath, or (3) shouting the words back to yourself thereby inundating your heart and mind with what you are talking. This last one is an aggressive attack on thoughts that refuse to loose grip of your mind and heart. Today, speak good things about your financial life. Talk big.
>next, guard what you feed through your five senses. Do you feed your eyes with economic gabbage of newspapers and magazine. Remember,
gabbage in, gabbage out. Instead of reading how the stock market crashed today, I'll rather read books of Warren Buffet on how he multiplies his stocks. Instead of reading the business news of how the property market dwindles, I'll rather read Robert Kiyosaki's
Rich Dad Poor Dad series on how to develop my financial intelligence to profit even in a dwindled property market.
>set a goal. Give yourself a target. For instance, every month I'll read two books that will increase my financial intelligence, listen to 5 tapes on how to maximize my investment, and attend a business seminar.
>finally pray to God. He gives power to conquer weaknesses you naturally find very difficult to conquer. I realize that using God's words to fight negative thoughts is the most powerful weapon a man can possess.
Like every other truth, these are simple steps. The laws of life are characteristicall simple in nature, hence many underrate them to their own disadvantage. These steps mentioned here can help anyone to develop his or her thought life and hence increase the degree of his or her life success. Remember, "as a man thinketh in his heart, so he is," says the Scriptures.
