Part 4: YOU TOO CAN BE RICHDo You Set Goal? Do You Write It Down?Copyright © Captain Adiari, M.D.
http://www.OnlineGain.netNot just writing a list down, but it should be accessible. It should be where you can see it as many times as possible within a day, some recommend at least twice per day.
A goal, be it short, intermediate or long term, is an essential factor for life success. It should be:
>written down
>concise and totally clear
>be meditated on continuously until it becomes part of your subconscious
(this is easily achieved if you keep the list readily accessible; possibly pasting it over your bed, across the dining table, over your office desk, in a pocket notebook, in the first page of your Bible, etc.).
Once a goal becomes part of your subconscious so that you live it, dream it and breathe it, it generates faith for its accomplishment. And by this faith nothing can stop you from achieving your heartfelt goal. You simply become unconquerable. Remember, the world stands aside for a man who knows where he is going.
Do not forget
S-M-A-R-T components of a goal:
S=Specificity.
A goal must be specific. What do you want for your life, your family and your home business?
M=Measurable.
How much money do you want to be generating from your home business? How much time can you spend on your home business each day? Which day(s) of the week can you set aside for your home business?
A=Achievable.
Is your goal achievable? For instance, if you want to be earning $5000 per month from your home business, how many sales will you make to achieve this? In other words, break down your goal into smaller achievable steps? For example, $5000 per month becomes $1250 per week and about $167 per day. Remember, a journey of a thousand mile begins with a step.
R=Realistic.
Is your goal practicable or a mere wishful thinking? Are you convinced of the possibility of your goal or you are only daydreaming? Once again, a goal should be: written down, concise and totally clear, and must be meditated on continuously until it becomes part of your subconscious. What this does to you is that you grow and develop on your inside to meet with the tempo of the goal; faith of possibility is imparted in you. In the school of success, there is no
impossibility in its vocabulary. Banish it from you vocabulary too if you want to be a true student of the school.
T=Time-factor.
When do you set to achieve the goal? When do you set to hit the first one million dollars from your home business? Which time of the day is set aside for your business? When...when...when..? The more concise is your answer to the "when" question, the faster will be the speed of your success.
Therefore, I challenge you this day to set a goal for your life, family and business. It is the secret of achievers. It is a law of success set by God Himself. The Lord Jesus usually asks before He intervenes, "What do you want..." (Mark 10 verse 51, Today's English Version). Indeed, ask yourself today, "what do I want?" Like every other principle of success, it is simple, yet it makes the difference in your endeavors.
Today sit down with pen and paper, and write down your financial goals, both short and long term. Define what you want for your home business. If you want more money, define how much and in what time. Do not postpone; do it NOW. You will never regret doing it.
